Rescue Me ID: 16-02-02-00023Roxy (female)

Shiba Inu Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Roxy! She is a Shiba mix our rescue pulled from a high kill shelter in Texas late last year. She's about 2 years old, shy but sweet and is integrating well into her foster home. She's good with potty training and has been working really hard on crate training as she does have some anxiety about the crate and being left. We have been feeding her all her meals in the crate as well as giving her extra goodies to make her think the crate is an awesome place! Roxy can be a little stiff with new dogs at first but does come around and loves to play once she's comfortable with them. We have not had her around cats or young children. Roxy would ... (Read More)do best in a home that has 6 foot fencing to prevent any escape and probably no apartments as she does sometimes vocalize in the crate and that could bother neighbors. Roxy's adoption fee is $250 which includes her spay, vaccinations, deworming, microchip and training course. (Less)

Shiba Inu Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant

April is very much in need of a home. She has too much energy to be kenneled as much as she has had to bevsince her foster backed out before she even arrived! She loves to play. She loves kids and everything is the happiest most exciting thing she has ever seen. She would love a family and she would do best living in a home with a yard to play in. She isnt the quietest girl and with her energy apartments are not recommended. She is the perfect size at 30lbs. She would love to meet you!

Rescue Me ID: 15-12-13-00114Sanka (female)

Shiba Inu    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Sanka is a 2-3 year old pure bred Cream female Shiba Inu that our rescue pulled from the shelter in Canon City Colorado. Sanka is a super sweet and happy girl but she kept getting adopted and returned after folks didn't understand the likelihood of a Shiba Inu to bolt doorways and not be allowed off leash. Sanka is an awesome little gal. She loves to cuddle on the couch, play with you or go for a walk. She is great with men, women, children and cats. She is relatively good with other dogs but doesn't appreciate if they get right up in her face or growly. Due to her potential escaping habits she either needs a yard with a 6 foot privacy ... (Read More)fence or she could be in an apartment, both of which are settings she has been fostered in. Sanka's adoption fee is $350 which includes her spay, microchip, deworming, vaccinations and a 6 week training course at an approved facility. To adopt Sanka, please go to www.savemescout.wix.com/savemescoutrescue for the application. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-17-00224Buddy the Elf (male)

Shiba Inu Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

LONG TERM RESIDENT-ADOPTION FEE WAIVED!!! Meet Buddy the Elf! He is a 1 year old Shiba Inu mix that we pulled from Denver Animal Shelter just prior to Christmas. He was very scared in the shelter and it was difficult for the staff to handle him. It takes him time to warm up to new people, but he is food motivated which helps. Buddy is stiff with new dogs at first but after a few days if they leave him alone, he begins to accept them. He does like to hog his toys to himself so another passive dog would be best. He is also hit or miss with cats. Buddy is working on crate training. He is fed in his crate to associate it with something ... (Read More)positive. He is also working on potty training and learning to ask outside. He does however walk decently on a leash without pulling and also knows sit and to shake with each paw so he's very smart. Once Buddy warms up to you he follows you every where and is just the happiest, sweetest cuddle bug. He leans into you for pets and can't get enough of you. He is better with women than men and probably would do best in a home without children. Buddy's adoption fee of $175 includes his neuter, deworming, distemper, bordatella and rabies vaccinations, microchip and an in home private training session.
