Rescue Me ID: 18-03-19-00048Niko (male)

Shiba Inu    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Niko is an AKC bred Shiba Inu, he is 5 years old and only knows his current home. I am moving to a senior complex as my home is becoming too much for me to care for and unfortunately pets are not allowed. He is very intelligent, very loyal to his family, and loves children. Shiba Inus are also known to run off so its important to have a fenced yard and/or always walk him on a leash. He knows a few basic commands, sit, come, good boy and no. He is a little stubborn and gets excited if the doorbell rings but he is a great dog. He is healthy and has been raised on no grain holistic dog food.

Carmen is a 6- 8 month old 24 lb mix that we're guessing sable shepard, shelter thought Beagle--?? Who knows, but we do know that mutts are the best dogs ever, they certainly will not be prone to breed specific issues. Carmen is new to us, but so far has been very friendly, seems to be housebroken, gets along with other dogs, and even knows how to sit. She does have a bundle of puppy energy that she has been THRILLED to be running off and playing with her new foster buddies in the back yard. We think she may have been a puppy with a family that just did not understand how to guide her and help her understand some manners and boundaries. ...
