This amazing guy is looking for an unusual home. He is actually an Australian dingo. (Since the breed is not listed, I listed him as a mix of probably the two closest breeds.) We are looking for a home who knows about the dingo--or is interested in learning--and wants to advocate for their needs in the wild. Bear would make a great ambassador for that cause. He loves people once he gets used to them, enjoys his walks, and is a terrific icebreaker for educating people about these wonderful, but misunderstood, canines. Bear has been well socialised with kids, and warms quickly to most adults, but does NOT like other male dogs, and will kill cats/birds/hamsters/etc if given the chance. Dingoes are high energy and independent--and they need a substantial fence (6' minimum, sturdy, no gaps, a wire roof or other 'topper', and with 'dig proofing' at the base...no worries, I can show you how to set that up). Bear is not 'for sale'--the critical thing is to find someone who will appreciate him and give his life meaning as an ambassador for his kind. He will want a companion--a female primitive-type dog would be ideal, or he could possibly go out with one of his (spayed!) pups for company. Bear's adoption fee is just the cost of gas to deliver him to his new home. Email for more info, pics, or to put your name in the hat for this boy. Be sure to tell me about yourself, and what you can offer him! :-) He is one in a million, and we are very invested in his future. (If you meet him, you will understand. Dingoes are very special.) This little girl is looking for an unusual home. She is actually an Australian dingo. (Since her breed is not listed, I listed her as a mix of probably the two closest breeds.) We are looking for a home who knows about the dingo--or is interested in learning--and wants to advocate for their needs in the wild. River would make a great ambassador for that cause. She loves people, and is a terrific icebreaker for educating people about these wonderful, but misunderstood, canines. River has been well socialised, but dingoes are high energy and independent--and they need a substantial fence (6' minimum, sturdy, no gaps, and with 'dig proofing' at the base...no worries, I can show you how to set that up). She also has a brother who is very similar in looks and temperament. They are 6 months old. They are not 'for sale'--the critical thing is to find people who will appreciate them and give their lives meaning. We are asking only the cost of the spay (or neuter) as their 'adoption fee'. Interested? River would love to hear from you! (Less)

Shiba Inu Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. The Shiba Inu is a Japanese hunting dog similar to a small Akita. Shibas are proud, courageous, independent, and intelligent. Shibas are excellent with children. Shibas can be socialized with cats and opposite-sex canines. Shibas can live in an apartment but do best in a home that has a yard.
